I have been writing about colleges in transition and advising save college movements since 2019.  In that year, I was involved in the movement to Save Hampshire College. We succeeded in changing the college's leadership and they agreed to change direction to remain open and independent. 

After the Hampshire experience, I advised at Marlboro, Guilford, Mills, and Goddard. I also learned more about colleges and journalism through attending conferences such as Education Writers Assocation, Investigative Reporters and Editors, Colleges that Change Lives. In 2023, I became a BoardSource Certified Non-Profit Board Consultant. 

I am an alum of Hampshire College and University of Massachusetts Amherst where I received a B.A. Summa Cum Laude in Classics and a B.A. Summa Cum Laude in Geography.
